Peak oil is history
I can highly recommend this latest article by Dmitrii Orlov on the above title - basically saying what he calls "the rosy scenario" of peak oil is bunk and the ride is likely to be a whole lot rougher than most of us think.

Depleted Uranium Munitions Nanoparticle Residues Effects On Living Tissues
Who is interested in this topic please:- The public is being misinformed on depleted uranium munitions risks. The UN's trusted WHO is tied to the IAEA's stance on depleted uranium munitions nanoparticle residue effects on living tissue. However, the IAEA's stance is tied to ICRP methodology which an expert, Dr Rosalie Bertell, says is wrong. The ECRR has shown why. This false picture calls into question all of WHO's findings on any topic. Here is Dr Bertell's email to me. To quote her:-

Four years ago Al Gore released his documentary ‘An Inconvenient Truth’ in which he shows the dire consequences that could result if the Arctic Ice melts – dramatic flooding of densely populated coastal areas around the world, and warned that climate change was causing more extreme weather patterns leading to more flooding, with droughts and hurricanes also becoming stronger.
» Read moreNZ Draft Energy Strategy - a charade
I read the governments Draft Energy Strategy and discovered that apart from a bland statement that oil prices will rise and be volatile, it fails to identify the risks to New Zealand's energy security. There is no discussion in the DES about the threats to New Zealand of oil scarcity arising from global oil depletion and no analysis of the potentially devastating impacts on the New Zealand economy from scarcity and/or higher oil prices. Nor does it discuss how soon these threats might arise. For example could they occur within one year, five years, 10 years, or longer?
